Match rules
01Each tie is 1v1: the attacker plays a 1-2 with the defender, then players switch positions for the reset.
02Attackers get 10 seconds to beat their defender and score. First player to 3 points advances to the next round.
03Attacking points: a goal is worth 1 point. Beat your defender with a standout skill and you advance to the next round immediately.
04Defending points: stopping the goal, forcing the ball out via a block or shield, or winning clean possession are each worth 1 point.
05A dangerous tackle, a deliberate foul that prevents a goal, or deliberate handball is an automatic disqualification.
06Accidental handball: the first is a rerun, the second hands a point to your opponent, a repeat gets you disqualified.
07Accidental fouls: the first costs you 1 point, the second hands a point to your opponent, a repeat gets you disqualified.
08Single elimination — one loss inside a round ends your run for that edition.
09A GameBreakers official records the result pitchside; no self-reporting, and results are final once logged.
10Late arrivals forfeit their tie. Bracket positions are published 48 hours before kickoff.
Scoring, fouls and disqualification rules 01–07 are adapted from the Top Baller 1v1 rulebook. Rules 08–10 are GameBreakers’ own tournament policy.
